An opportunity has emerged for someone who is passionate about enabling the potential of others to help unleash the creative and entrepreneurial capabilities of the next generation of University of Auckland graduates.

We need someone with proven marketing and communication skills to assist in implementing a promotional programme to recruit current students, staff and the wider Auckland community to engage with our diverse range of innovation and entrepreneurship programmes and events, as well as creating storytelling content to showcase the University’s strengths in innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship has been established to support, profile and be the hub for innovation and entrepreneurial programmes and activities at the University of Auckland.

He kōrero mōu | About you

In this role you will be responsible for inspiring the interest of everyone from students through to industry leaders, so you will need to be able to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You will be unflappable, able to work with deadlines and have exceptional organisation and planning skills. Creative thinking, and being able to work collaboratively are key for success in this position.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

Under the leadership of our Innovation and Entrepreneurship Engagement Manager you will be responsible for a variety of promotional activities, including:

  • Creating weekly newsletters and email campaigns,
  • Writing articles and general copywriting,
  • Social media management,
  • Management of our CRM system and contact databases,
  • Occasional design of graphics for collateral,
  • Collaborating with student groups and the wider University community,
  • Managing photo and film shoots.

Degree qualified, you will have strong written and verbal communication skills, experience with graphic design, management of a CRM system, social media and online tools and platforms.
